Tour General Conditions

 

 Cancellation and amendments

Should a customer wish to cancel participation in a tour where full payment has been made the following cancellation fees apply:

Between 96 hours and 7 days of tour scheduled time of departure

20% of tour price paid

Between 7 and 28 days before tour scheduled time of departure

$25 refund fee per booking

Amendment period

Within 96 hours of original tour scheduled time of departure

Tour upgrade permitted free of amendment fee and subject to availability.  Tour downgrade permitted subject to availability.  No refund of price difference will be given.

Between 96 hours and 7 days of tour scheduled time of departure

Tour upgrade permitted free of amendment fee and subject to availability.  Tour downgrade permitted subject to availability with a charge of 20% of tour price paid.

Between 7 and 28 days before tour scheduled time of departure

Tour upgrade permitted free of amendment fee and subject to availability.  Tour downgrade permitted subject to an amendment fee of $25.  Tour date change permitted free of charge.

Should a customer wish to amend the date of their participation in a tour where full payment has been made the following amendment fees apply: 

In the event of a tour being cancelled by us, customers will be entitled to a full refund without penalty.  Minimum customer numbers are required on some tours.

As with all responsible tour operators, we recommend that customers are covered by travel insurance for the entire duration of their journey away from home.

Child Age/Infant Policy

Infants are classified as 0 to 2 years of age, and may travel free of charge on their parent’s lap.  All children must wear a lap belt provided.  No passengers may travel unrestrained. 

Children are classified as 3-12 years of age inclusive and must be accompanied by an adult on the flight. Verification of age may be requested prior to tour departure.

Commentary

All scenic flights include personalised commentary made by the pilot during the flight.  All tour commentaries and safety briefings are conducted in English.

Complimentary inclusions with all tours

We offer courtesy airport transfers from all Kununurra accommodation providers.  Pick up will be made 45 minutes prior to schedule time of tour departure.  Customers are entitled to complimentary chilled bottled water and refreshing sandalwood scented face towels. 

Passengers must present themselves at our check-in facility at the Aviair terminal a minimum of 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time when making their own way to our terminal.  Late check-in may result in refusal to travel and forfeiture of price paid.

 Customer weight

Customer and approximate hand baggage weights must be provided to us at time of booking. All customers and baggage will be weighed prior to tour departure for safety and operational reasons. Aviair reserve the right to deny carriage to customers who provide weight information that is inaccurate by more than 15% in which case any fare paid will be forfeit.

Disabled Passengers

We welcome customers with impaired mobility.  We must be advised a minimum of 48 hours prior to scheduled time of departure with the level of assistance required and whether the customer is using a wheelchair.  This allows us to ensure that we can accommodate the customer’s needs and deliver the highest levels of care and comfort.

Wheelchairs can be carried on our aircraft, providing they are collapsible.  For health and safety reasons, we are not permitted to lift a customer into or out of the aircraft.

Fuel Surcharge

In the event of significant upward movement in the cost of aviation fuel, we reserve the right to introduce a fuel surcharge. This shall be advised in writing no less than two months prior to its commencement, and will be additionally advised at the time of booking confirmation.

Government and additional charges

Our tour prices are fully inclusive of all government, environmental and airport levies.

Personal items

All care is taken to protect customer personal items but no liability is accepted for loss or damage to them.  Prior to leaving our aircraft, customers should ensure they have all personal belongings with them.

Seasonality

The start and end of the scheduled season may vary due to weather conditions.

Seniors

Seniors must be in possession of a valid senior’s card issued by an Australian State Government.

Tour downgrades and upgrades

Customers may downgrade and upgrade their tours in accordance with the abovementioned cancellation and amendment tables.

 Validity of rates

Prices quoted are subject to change and are in Australia dollars (AU$).  Tours paid for in full are protected from price increases.  In the event of Aviair introducing a special offer or rates that are discounted against the adult fare, retrospective refunds will not be permitted.

 Customer information and Privacy

We require customer information for all reservations that we accept, including full passenger name, passenger weight, contact telephone number, and email address.  Passenger information will be retained by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy which may be viewed at http://aviair.com.au/privacy-policy . We require passenger contact information to allow us to make contact with passengers in the event of occurrences including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, on the rare occasion that a tour time may be rescheduled, or in the event that personal property has been left behind after a tour.
