Our aircraft are chosen to suit our remote location, the needs of our customers and our harsh environment. Our fleet is maintained by our in-house dedicated team of Licensed Aircraft Engineers, therefore we can ensure limited downtime and the best quality control.
With over 33 years of remote experience with an average of 5,000 flights each year, Aviair is the Kimberley’s premier air charter specialist.. Major clients in tourism, communications and government sectors choose Aviair due to our excellence in safety and efficient friendly service. We are extremely passionate and proud of what we do and are confident that this will show when you fly with us. Our business ethos is focused on maintaining consistently high levels of safety and service delivery.
Aviair is one of twenty five airlines in Australia, including major airlines that have Pt 42 CAMO and Pt 145 AMO approval by CASA. Take comfort in knowing that you are flying at the highest standard of safety in aviation.
Our fleet is maintained at a Class A maintenance standard- systemised maintenance program and is maintained to the manufacturer and CASA’s instructions by our in-house team of six highly qualified technicians and engineers who are certified and comply with CASA’s Pt 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO).
The Aviair Stores Support has an inventory to the value of $1M, reducing the effects of downtime for our fleet.
We have an Airworthiness specialist who monitors the maintenance schedule of each aircraft in our fleet.
Our pilots undergo rigorous training and checking. For the first two months of employment with Aviair, new pilots are supervised on all flights, their performance is monitored and then assessed before they are approved to fly unsupervised. Our pilots are required to pass two base and two line checks each year.
We have a dedicated Check and Training department with outstanding pilot training facilities and programs. We can say with pride that our pilots are trained to the highest industry standard.
Our CASA endorsed Safety Management System underpins our commitment to health, safety and the environment.
Aviair operates under CASA Regular Public Transport (RPT) license regulations
Commercial passenger air transport in Australia is categorised into regular passenger transport (RPT) and charter operations. The RPT standard is the highest approval that the Civil Aviation Safety Authority issues and that which major airlines are required to meet.
However, amongst the small aeroplane category only five operators in Australia meet the higher level of compliance, being RPT. Aviair is one of those. According to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, the accident rate per million departures is three and half times higher for charter operators in comparison to RPT in small aeroplanes.
This higher standard requires Aviair to adopt many additional programs, including; safety management systems, human factors training, increased pilot training and checking and more comprehensive systems of maintenance; including reliability monitoring. These systems set us apart from competing air charter businesses and gives our customers a higher level of safety and reliability.
Our many clients include Fortescue Metals Group, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Department of Parks and Wildlife, Department of Child Protection, Department of Transport, Pluton Resources and the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development. Our famous Kimberley air tours are offered by tourism clients including; AAT Kings, Australian Pacific Tours, The Tailor, Scenic Tours, Abercrombie and Kent, Flight Centre Global, AOT, Meiers Wltreisen, DERtour, to name only a few.
Our service to our customers is as important as our focus on safety. Our goal is to look after you from your first enquiry through to the end of your journey with us.
