The Role

B1 LAME

- Be highly motivated with a strong work ethic

BROOME


OPERATIONS AND CLIENT EXPERIENCE OFFICER

Aviair is seeking to appoint an Operations and Client Experience Officer to provide a high level of customer service and operational oversight at our Broome base. Our Broome base comprises of a growing team of Operations and Customer Service staff along with Pilots, Engineers and some of the Company’s corporate team. We operate scheduled services throughout the Kimberley & Pilbara and charter flights for corporate and contract clientele.

As an Operations and Client Experience Officer, you will be responsible for the daily management of the flying schedule with a strong focus on coordinating services for all flight crew and clients, and in ensuring operations are running in a safe, systematic and efficient manner with a focus on high levels of quality and procedural process. From the moment a passenger arrives in the Aviair terminal, you are responsible for their movements to ensure a transfer that is safe, efficient and courteous.

Operations and Client Experience Officers operate the check-in counters, switch-board and email, and provide front-line customer service. This role will also see you managing aspects of the reservations for all our valued clients, including public passenger and charter. You will also be responsible for ground operations and office administration within the Aviair Broome Terminal, and for coordination of charter flights and freight distribution in conjunction with the Operations Manager. The role also requires regular contact with clients, senior managers within Aviair and other key stakeholders.

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Maintain an exemplary level of customer service within the office for all passengers, guests and team members;
- Coordinating the operation of charter and scheduled flights and bookings, and allocating flight services according to the service level agreements and contractual requirements;
- Ground operations, including but not limited to check-in, baggage & freight acceptance and facilitation of flight departures and arrivals;
- Point of contact for regular charter clients and destinations with regard to schedule changes, delays and general enquiries. Liaise and confirm services for contract clients; and
- Administration duties to ensure the smooth operation of the base, including but not limited to general inventory and ordering, banking, mail, and office upkeep. 

The successful applicant will have:

- Communication skills across all demographics and ability to develop and sustain relationships;
- Well-developed problem-solving skills with strong level of initiative and be proactive in seeking solutions;
- Ability to apply a high level of attention to detail across all tasks and previous experience working within a shared team environment;
- Excellence in customer service with the ability to tailor experiences according to each client’s desired outcome;
- Knowledge and intermediate skill for use of Microsoft Office Suite and be assured using computers and software programs;
- Fitness to be physically capable of manoeuvring luggage and freight;
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), including a Police Clearance; and
- Hold a current C class driver’s licence.

About the role

To support our growth, we are seeking a B2 LAME/AME with relevant industry experience to join our Broome base. The base carries out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to our fleet. Ideally, we are seeking applicants with experience working on our aircraft types or similar.

The Avionics team is based across our Broome and Kununurra bases and work as one unit. Aviair’s sister company HeliSpirit has its main base in Kununurra. Opportunities for travel between the various bases and work on helicopters is available.

To be successful in this role:

- Possess relevant fleet/industry experience
- Ability to proactively troubleshoot avionics defects

 Key duties and responsibilities of the role include

- Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with the provisions of the aircraft approved maintenance data
- Ensure that work undertaken is carried out safely, in line with the best industry practices
- Report all defects or faults identified during the course of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance
- Keep the Avionics Manager and Senior Base Engineer informed on progress of the task allocated and any problems which may affect the completion including defects, deficiencies in spares, tooling, ground support and test equipment
- Maintain currency with respect to all relevant documentation and the revision status of company manuals

AIRWORTHINESS QUALITY MANAGER

The HMC Group is seeking to appoint an Airworthiness Quality Manager to manage all aspects of the Group Airworthiness Quality Management Systems and develop and maintain a risk-based approach to quality management. This role will report to the Head of Safety but work closely with the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.

About the Role

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Ensuring that the CAMO complies with the requirements of CASR Part 42 MOS.
- Implementing and monitoring of the CAMO Quality System and monitoring of the CAMO internal review system as required by the Part 42 MOS.
- Liaise with a range of stakeholders to ensure compliance is met.
- Provide oversight and assurance of contracted maintenance organisations related to aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance activities.
- Deliver training to CAMO staff, manage training compliance, and review and discuss policy, procedures and compliance relating to the Aviair fleet.

This is a full-time opportunity to be based in our Perth office. The successful candidate will be asked to complete a satisfactory National Police Check and Drug and Alcohol Test prior to commencement.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate confidently and positively to promote a ‘Just Culture’. In addition, they will possess:

- Airworthiness quality management experience in aviation and at least 2 years’ experience in Quality Management Systems.
- Formal Lead Auditor training with experience in auditing aircraft schedules.
- Manual authoring experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of aircraft reliability programs, mandatory and non-mandatory ICA assessments.
- Qualify to be approved by CASA as a CASR Parts Form 4 holder.
- Ability to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).

A demonstrated understanding of human factors principles and experience using Air Maestro will be highly regarded.

About the Role

The newly created position of HR Advisor has been established to continue to support the needs of the business as we enter a significant period of growth. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will work with management and employees across all Group businesses. Key duties will include but not be limited to:

- Providing timely and consistent advice to managers and employees in relation to a range of human resources matters, including interpretation of awards, contracts, and policies
- Providing support and guidance in the management of grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management
- Working closely with Payroll to ensure correct award interpretation is always applied
- Contributing to the remuneration review process
- Drafting of policies and procedures and ensuring necessary training and/or communication of the same
- Facilitating coaching sessions to support management understanding of HR relates processes
- Management of HR projects such as system improvements and the roll-out of new initiatives across the Group
- Provide advice to managers around job design and salary
- Assisting with end-to-end recruitment as required

About You

- Previous experience at an HR Advisor (or similar) level with exposure to the full employee lifecycle is essential
- Have a demonstrated background in the interpretation of the Fair Work Act, NES, and awards
- Tertiary qualification in HR Management (desirable)
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice relating to awards, employment contracts and other relevant HR legislation
