The Role

Our rapidly expanding group of aviation and tourism businesses operate throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia, and into the Northern Territory. The group requires the expertise of an IT & Communications Officer to ensure the efficient, secure, robust and continuous running of all IT and telecommunications across the companies. Responsibilities also include network administration and help-desk duties.

Essential Requirements 

- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Exchange/Office 365, Network administration and Cloud technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2016 (desirable).
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by small to medium business in remote areas.
- Ability and patience to work with and teach people who are not IT literate.
- Previous experience in small business remote support. 
- Ability to liaise with various third-party providers.
- Proficient record-keeping skills to track IT assets across the business group.

Desirable Requirements

- Knowledge of PABX.
-VMWare and virtual environments.
- SharePoint/OneDrive management.
- Previous small business IT management experience.
- Previous experience in computer building and hardware troubleshooting.

Group Safety Manager

Aviair and HeliSpirit are leading aviation companies with their headquarters in Kununurra and other major bases in Adelaide, Broome and Karratha. Combining fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, the two companies proudly provide charter, RPT and tourism services across the Kimberley and Pilbara. Due to the growth of our company, we are seeking a motivated and committed Group Safety Manager who has extensive safety management experience, including in risk assessment, systems analysis and risk mitigation.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly experienced safety professional with proven ability to juggle operational requirements, strategic priorities and client relationships. You will partner with all levels of the business to influence and drive the group safety culture.

Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Quality & Safety, you will be supported by the Group Safety Co-Ordinator and work closely with all Department Heads.

The position is preferably based in Broome with safety oversight across all bases including Adelaide, Karratha and Kununurra. There will be a requirement to travel between the bases from time to time to meet operational needs.

It is essential that you have a strong understanding of safety management systems, preferably in an aviation environment.  Additionally, you will have the proven ability to positively engage and provide positive influence within the Group.

The Kimberley Experience Group is seeking positive and confident team members who are motivated to provide an exemplary level of customer service representing several affiliated tourism companies in the East Kimberley. The role is based in Aviair’s Kununurra office.

This role will see you undertaking all aspects of the reservations experience from scenic flights, both plane and helicopter, regular passenger transport, guided tours and accommodation as well as tailoring unique tourism packages for clients. You will also be responsible for coordinating the operation of Aviair charter flights from our Kununurra and remote bases.

Previous experience in aviation or tourism is preferred but not essential, as full training and ongoing support is provided to strong candidates who can demonstrate dedication and willingness to learn new skills.

B1 LAME – Aviair Broome

Aviair is seeking a B1 LAME to join its Part 145 AMO team in Broome WA. 
Aviair is a leading aviation company with its head office in Kununurra and significant key bases in Broome and Karratha WA. Aviair provides charter, RPT and tourism services across the Kimberley and Pilbara. Aviair operate their own aircraft and manage a fleet which includes C510, B200, C208, PC12 and GA8 aircraft. With a great work-life balance, this opportunity would suit someone looking for adventure and the lifestyle change that the Kimberley can provide.  There is plenty to do in your down time including camping, fishing, hiking and boating. To be successful in this role, you must have:

·            A CASR Part 66 B1 Aircraft Engineer Licence with a PT6A engine rating;

·            Computer literacy;

·            ASIC eligibility;

·            Relevant fleet experience; and

·            6 months relevant aircraft maintenance experience in the preceding 2 years

Duties and responsibilities of the role include:

·            Performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with the provisions of the aircraft approved maintenance data

·            Ensuring that work undertaken is carried out safely, in line with the best industry practices, with the most efficient and economical use of labour, materials and other resources

·            Ensuring that all worksheets and documents are signed as work is completed and ensuring a comprehensive hand-over is carried out as required 
·            Liaising with Senior Base Engineer and CAM to ensure timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities and providing regular updates as time frames are revised 
·            In conjunction with the Stores Co-Ordinator, ensuring all parts and materials are appropriately managed, airworthy and suitable for their fitment 
·            Maintaining the work area in a clean and tidy state 
·            Adhering to the Aviair Quality & Safety Policy 
·            Participating in the Safety Management System 
·            Ensuring that Aviair policies, procedures and instructions are adhered to for all maintenance 
·            Reporting all defects or faults identified during the course of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance 
·            Maintaining required authorisations, licences and approvals as required (including Aircraft Engineer Licence, ASIC and Airside Drivers Licence) 
·            Reporting any deviation from procedures to the Head of Quality & Safety and Head of Maintenance 
·            Providing guidance and instruction to apprentices and unlicensed engineers as required 
·            Maintaining currency with respect to all relevant documentation and the revision status of company manuals 
·            Other duties as directed by the Senior Base Engineer 


Aviair pilot recruitment is ongoing and we encourage expressions of interest from suitably experienced pilots. Aviair's flying is a mixture of both VFR and IFR and is operated both single-pilot and multi-crew. Progression within the company and on to more complex aircraft types is performance based. All crew members will have a current medical, ASIC, first aid certificate, dangerous goods awareness certificate and light rigid vehicle licence prior to employment.

Aviair’s minimum pilot requirements are:

·                  Total Time: 600 hours

·                  IFR PIC on a plan: 125 hours (150 desirable)

·                  Night Time: 25 hours (50 desirable)
