Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager

 Aviair is a professional aviation company with headquarters in Kununurra, and significant bases in Broome and Karratha. Aviair provides charter, RPT and tourism services to the region, and has its own maintenance facility looking after a fleet of approximately twenty-seven aircraft.

 Aviair are seeking a Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager to assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) in all aspects of aircraft airworthiness and maintenance control. The role will ideally be based in Kununurra; however, Broome may be considered for the right candidate.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

•               Development and review of the CAMO suite of manuals;

•               Conduct of airworthiness reviews;

•               Assessment of mandatory and non-mandatory ICA;

•               Development and review of aircraft schedules managed within the maintenance tracking software;

•               Liaising with Aviair and external AMOs regarding maintenance requirements;

•               Liaising with aircrew regarding aircraft serviceability and procedures;

•               Liaising with CASA and OEMs on airworthiness and maintenance control matters;

•               Providing training and guidance to staff as required;

•               Providing pilot maintenance training;

•               Review of aircraft reliability program data;

•               Review and assessment of safety reports;

•               Management of ICA subscriptions; and

•               Other duties as requested by the CAM.

 Key Skills and Attributes Required:

•               Comprehensive knowledge of the CAMO exposition and legislation;

•               Comprehensive knowledge of relevant areas of the Operations manual;

•               Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance programs, reliability programs, ASETPA and MEL requirements;

•               High aptitude with CMMS and MS Office suite;

•               Extensive industry experience;

•               Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC; and

•               Hold or have held an AME licence and/or meet the requirements applicable to the CAM as defined by the Part 42 MOS.

B1 LAME – Aviair Kununurra

Aviair is a leading aviation company with its head office in Kununurra and key bases in Broome and Kununurra WA. Aviair proudly provides charter, contract, RPT and tourism services across the Kimberley and Pilbara.  We operate our own aircraft maintenance facilities and manage a fleet of aircraft including B200, C208, PC12 and GA8 aircraft.

To support our growth, we are seeking a B1 LAME who is a positive and safety focussed team player to join our Kununurra team. With a great work-life balance, this opportunity would suit someone looking for adventure and the lifestyle change that only the Kimberley can provide! Working a Monday to Friday roster, there is plenty to do in your down time including camping, fishing, hiking and boating. There is also a strong family atmosphere in the community with great local schools and sports groups.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

·           A CASR Part 66 B1 Aircraft Engineer Licence

·           Computer literacy

·           ASIC eligibility

Duties and responsibilities of the role include:

·         Performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with the provisions of the aircraft approved maintenance data

·         In conjunction with the Stores Co-Ordinator, ensuring all parts and materials are fit for purpose

·         Ensuring that work undertaken is carried out safely, in line with the best industry practices, with the most efficient and economical use of labour, materials and other resources

·         Maintaining high house-keeping standards

·         Ensuring that Aviair policies, procedures and instructions are adhered to for all maintenance

·         Reporting all defects or faults identified during the course of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance

·         Ensuring that all worksheets and documents are signed as work is completed, ensuring a comprehensive hand-over is carried out as required and maintaining up-to-date information including accurate man-hour recording

·         Maintaining required authorisations, licences and approvals as required (including Aircraft Engineer Licence, ASIC and Airside Drivers Licence)

·         Liaising with Senior Base Enigneer to ensure timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities and providing regular updates as time frames are revised

·         Keeping the Senior Base Engineer informed on any issues which may affect the completion of maintenance including defects, deficiencies in spares, tooling, ground support and test equipment

·         Reporting to the Group Quality Manager and Head of Maintenance any deviation from procedures

·         Providing guidance and instruction to AMEs and apprentices as required

·         Adhering to the Aviair Quality & Safety Policy

·         Maintaining currency with respect to all relevant documentation and the revision status of company manuals

·         Other duties as directed by the  Head of Maintenance and Senior Base Engineer

PILOT RECRUITMENT

Aviair pilot recruitment is ongoing and we encourage expressions of interest from suitably experienced pilots. Aviair’s minimum pilot requirements are:

·                  Total Time: 600 hours

·                  IFR PIC on a plan: 125 hours (150 desirable)

·                  Night Time: 25 hours (50 desirable)

Aviair is currently seeking pilots for the following positions:

 

Cessna C208 RPT Pilot – Kununurra Based

To be successful in this role you will possess the following as minimums:

·         The right to live and work in Australia

·         CASA CPL (A)

·         CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical

·         Valid SEA IPC

·         Total flight time – 700 hrs

·         PIC or ICUS operating under the IFR in aeroplanes - 150 hrs

·         Total night – 20 hrs

Baron IFR Pilot – Broome Based

 To be successful in this role you will possess the following as minimums:

·         The right to live and work in Australia

·         CASA CPL (A)

·         CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical

·         Valid MEA IPC

·         Total flight time – 1,000 hrs

·         PIC Multi Engine time – 150 hrs

·         Total Baron time – 50 hrs

  Pilots that meet the above criteria with the exception of Baron time will be considered. Pilots with 100 hrs ICUS operating under the IFR  in aeroplanes and 20 hrs of night will also be considered for C208 RPT positions.

Cessna C208 VFR Pilot – Kununurra Based

To be successful in this role you will possess the following as minimums:

·         The right to live and work in Australia

·         CASA CPL (A)

·         CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical

·         Valid SEA FR

·         Total flight time – 700 hrs

·         PIC or ICUS operating under the IFR in aeroplanes - 100 hrs

·         Total night – 15 hrs

 

Cessna C208 IFR ASEPTA Pilot – Broome Based

To be successful in this role you will possess the following as minimums:

·         The right to live and work in Australia

·         CASA CPL (A)

·         CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical

·         Valid SEA IPC

·         Total flight time – 1,200 hrs

·         Total turbine – 250 hrs

·         Total C208 time – 50 hrs

 

King Air B200 & Caravan C208 Pilot – Karratha Based

To be successful in this role you will possess the following as minimums:

·         The right to live and work in Australia

·         CASA CPL (A)

·         CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical

·         Valid MEA IPC

·         Total flight time – 1,500 hrs

·         PIC or ICUS operating under the IFR in aeroplanes - 150 hrs

·         Total night – 20 hrs

 Pilots with previous experience operating ASEPTA C208 and King Air B200 aircraft will be highly regarded.

 

Cessna C208 IFR RPT Pilot – Karratha Based

To be successful in this role you will possess the following as minimums:

·         The right to live and work in Australia

·         CASA CPL (A)

·         CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical

·         Valid MEA IPC

·         Total flight time – 700 hrs

·         PIC or ICUS operating under the IFR in aeroplanes - 150 hrs

·         Total night – 20 hrs

 Pilots with previous experience operating ASETPA and C208 will be highly regarded.
