CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER, KUNUNURRA

The Kimberley Experience Group is seeking positive and confident team members who are motivated to provide an exemplary level of customer service representing several affiliated tourism companies in the East Kimberley. The role is based in Aviair’s Kununurra office.

This role will see you undertaking all aspects of the reservations experience from scenic flights, both plane and helicopter, regular passenger transport, guided tours and accommodation as well as tailoring unique tourism packages for clients. You will also be responsible for coordinating the operation of Aviair charter flights from our Kununurra and remote bases.

Previous experience in aviation or tourism is preferred but not essential, as full training and ongoing support is provided to strong candidates who can demonstrate dedication and willingness to learn new skills.

Successful applicants will possess high level computer literacy and excellent professional communication and interpersonal skills. They will be highly organised, self-motivated, and be passionate about providing the best Kimberley experience to every client.

Aviair has three positions available with one commencement immediately, one in February and one in March 2021.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Managing Director and liaise with the Senior Management team in this critical role.  The position is located in Kununurra, however frequent travel throughout Western Australia is an essential part of this role.  The Group has offices in Kununurra, Broome, Karratha, and Perth.


Responsibilities include:

·         Diary management and the review and actioning of incoming emails and other correspondence.

·         Acting as the conduit between the MD and staff members, key clients, government departments and other stakeholders.

·         Organisation of meetings, travel and other bookings.

·         Drafting of correspondence, submissions, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.

·         Minute taking.

·         Management of outstanding action items, key dates, and to do lists.

·         Proof-reading, editing, and document preparation and collation.

·         Maintaining efficient systems and procedures to support the MD and other functions within the businesses.

·         Conducting initial research and briefing the MD on opportunities, tenders, and staff related issues.

·         Key involvement with insurance, HR documentation and contract management.

·         Travelling with the MD as required.

·         Other ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

·         Proven diplomacy, sensitivity, discretion and confidentiality is paramount in this role.


Skills / Qualifications Required

·         Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents and reports with a high degree of accuracy.
·         Excellent organisational and time management skills.
·         Demonstrated initiative and judgement, as well as being highly self-motivated and reliable.
·         Positive and professional work ethic and a proactive ability to resolve matters quickly and efficiently.
·         Excellent computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to adapt to a range of software packages.
·         Ability to forward plan, prioritise and multi-task in a busy and ever-changing work environment.
·         Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction, as well as work as a collaborative team member.
·         A willingness to develop and hone your skills.


B1 LAME – Aviair Broome

Aviair is seeking a B1 LAME to join its Part 145 AMO team in Broome WA. 
Aviair is a leading aviation company with its head office in Kununurra and significant key bases in Broome and Karratha WA. Aviair provides charter, RPT and tourism services across the Kimberley and Pilbara. Aviair operate their own aircraft and manage a fleet which includes C510, B200, C208, PC12 and GA8 aircraft. With a great work-life balance, this opportunity would suit someone looking for adventure and the lifestyle change that the Kimberley can provide.  There is plenty to do in your down time including camping, fishing, hiking and boating. There is also a strong family atmosphere in the community with great local schools, community and sports groups. 

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

·            A CASR Part 66 B1 Aircraft Engineer Licence with a PT6A engine rating;

·            Computer literacy;

·            ASIC eligibility;

·            Relevant fleet experience; and

·            6 months relevant aircraft maintenance experience in the preceding 2 years

It is also preferable to be have a PC-12 and/or C510 rating.

Duties and responsibilities of the role include:

·            Performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with the provisions of the aircraft approved maintenance data

·            Ensuring that work undertaken is carried out safely, in line with the best industry practices, with the most efficient and economical use of labour, materials and other resources

·            Ensuring that all worksheets and documents are signed as work is completed and ensuring a comprehensive hand-over is carried out as required 
·            Liaising with Senior Base Engineer and CAM to ensure timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities and providing regular updates as time frames are revised 
·            In conjunction with the Stores Co-Ordinator, ensuring all parts and materials are appropriately managed, airworthy and suitable for their fitment 
·            Maintaining the work area in a clean and tidy state 
·            Adhering to the Aviair Quality & Safety Policy 
·            Participating in the Safety Management System 
·            Ensuring that Aviair policies, procedures and instructions are adhered to for all maintenance 
·            Reporting all defects or faults identified during the course of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance 
·            Maintaining required authorisations, licences and approvals as required (including Aircraft Engineer Licence, ASIC and Airside Drivers Licence) 
·            Reporting any deviation from procedures to the Head of Quality & Safety and Head of Maintenance 
·            Providing guidance and instruction to apprentices and unlicensed engineers as required 
·            Maintaining currency with respect to all relevant documentation and the revision status of company manuals 
·            Other duties as directed by the Senior Base Engineer 





PILOT RECRUITMENT

Aviair pilot recruitment is ongoing and we encourage expressions of interest from suitably experienced pilots. Aviair's flying is a mixture of both VFR and IFR and is operated both single-pilot and multi-crew. Progression within the company and on to more complex aircraft types is performance based. All crew members will have a current medical, ASIC, first aid certificate, dangerous goods awareness certificate and light rigid vehicle licence prior to employment.

Aviair’s minimum pilot requirements are:

·                  Total Time: 600 hours

·                  IFR PIC on a plan: 125 hours (150 desirable)

·                  Night Time: 25 hours (50 desirable)
