Well known North West regional airline, Aviair, has scooped a prestigious win at the weekend’s Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
Named a silver medallist in the category; Major Tour and Transport Operator, Aviair owners Michael and Kate McConachy were thrilled at the result.
“To be named in the top of Australia’s major tour operators after less than 2 years of ownership is incredible” said Michael. “Our team here in Kununurra and in Karratha work really hard and this award belongs to them.”
Aviair is a family owned, regional West Australian airline operating across the Kimberley with a collection of 12 air tours and scenic flights. There are also regular scheduled flights to 26 remote communities as well as air charter services. The company is committed to providing visitor access to the beautiful, remote Kimberley outback in a safe, comfortable environment.
Aviair employs 42 people and owns and operates 15 beautifully presented and immaculately maintained aeroplanes located in Kununurra, the Kimberley and Karratha in the Pilbara region.
