Why would I take a charter flight?
Hiring a charter flight literally means you are renting the plane, and a pilot service, to transport yourself or goods from one place to another. It’s a convenient, private, and fun way to travel because it (figuratively!) puts you in the driver’s seat – you can choose when to depart, arrive and what to do while at your chosen location.
Where can I go?
Wherever you like! Our charter flights depart from Kununurra and Karratha. Some of the most common air charter services depart from Kununurra and arrive in Darwin, Broome, El Questro, Halls Creek and Kalumburu. If you want to transport goods, for example food supplies or shopping, you don’t even need to be on the plane – simply have the items dropped at the airport and we will bring it to you.
Can I take a charter flight one way?
Yes, of course.
What happen once we arrive?
After landing at your chosen destination, you depart the aircraft, cross the tarmac and then start your trip. If you’re returning the same day, your pilot and the plane will generally refuel and remain onsite, depending on pilot duty time. If it’s an overnight journey, or you’re only travelling one-way, your pilot will often return to base.
What is the plane like?
Our Cessna 208 Grand Caravans are a prop jet, fully air-conditioned aircraft, with a PA system inside. You are guaranteed comfort with a sizeable centre aisle and greater legroom than any other scenic flight aircraft in the Kimberley. We also have a GA8 Airvan with seven passenger seats, perfect for smaller groups and business trips. In addition we have B200 King Air types and pressurised Pilatus PC12 types which go up to 30,000 feet and 450kph.
